    Skew problem on C353P

I have had a skew problem with a C353P since new. It prints between 1mm and 2mm skew along the length of an A3 sheet. The loop has been adjusted from one extreme to the other but makes little or no difference. The K-M engineer has done what he can but has now given up, saying that the skew is within spec.

It's a bit of a problem for single-sided printing but a big problem for double-sided print as the skew is doubled (I get the same skew whether ot not I use the duplex unit). Is there really nothing that can be done, or is there any internal mechanical adjustment that can be made?

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

If the internal prints are fine then it is an optical skew and the carriages need to be aligned. This is a hit or miss adjustment. It may be better or it may get worse and nearly impossible to fix. If it is skewed on prints then it has to be either in the laser alignment or paper alignment. And this may be harder/or impossible to correct successfully.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

check and make sure the transfer belt is set in properly.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
