Hello everybody,
I have 6000000 copies Bh1050 with an image shift problem - the image shifts gradually about 5mm in main scanning direction and then returns to the right positon in 5000 copies job. I changed the centering sensor, but there was no effect.
Any ideas?

Which tray are you feeding from?

The customer uses mostly PF, trays 3,4 and 5

In which case it could be the paper side guide synchronishing out of adjustment! This is located underneath the paper lift plate on each of the trays 3-5. They have a tendancy to "shift" causing the paper to not sit centrally in the cassette, the centering sensor is trying to rectify the problem which is why you get upto 5mm variance. If you remove the synch gear assy you will see 2 arrows on the ratchet plates for the front and rear guides align these correctly replace the synch gear assy perform tray adjustment and think you will be ok...si

So I need to replace the synch gear assy or just to adjust it?

I would say adjust it unless it is broken of course. Si

Oh i,ve just remembered something i had about 3 years ago. Try switching off the side registration sensor in softswitch mode, running a couple of 100 copies/prints through it then switch sensor back on! This seemed to "recalibrate" the sensor and rectify the fault(Dont know why i had forgotten about that 1 maybe i getting old) ..si

Hello,
the problem was in the registration unit - especially in the skew detection photosensors. The machine started jamming and after changing the registration unit everythig was OK.
