View Full Version : Disable simplex - Konica 7145
Hi.
I'm searching for a way to disable simplex copy modes 1-1 and 2-1 on a Konica 7145.
Looked through the dipswitch tables, but I haven't seen anyithing related :(
Thanks.

Not that you can, but why would you want to do this???
A guy at his copy center wants to put out a few of his 7145 for customer operation, but only for duplex copying, so the easy way would be to disable simplex modes ... somehow.

Unfortunately I doubt this can be accomplished. If it was for printing, I think there are ways to lock the print driver down through GPO settings in windows. I know there is a setting to disable duplex, but not the other way around.
But this? I cannot fathom what advantage this would provide. Not to mention, if I was a customer and only had one page to copy simplex and I wanted only 20 of those, I can guarantee that the owner would be seeing the bird from me by charging me for duplex when all I want is simplex. I'd take my business elsewhere.

You can make the initial setting 1-2 or 2-2 but I don't know of any way to disable the simplex mode altogether. Customer could still overide by choosing the 1-1 mode.
Thanks, well, I'll stick with Coptech's recommendation.
Somewhat related question, does anyone know where can I get the MIB files (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/konica-minolta/30079-konica-minolta-mib-files.html), for KM machines ?
