Konica Optics Fan Question

Has anyone had occasion to try and use the optics fan (squirrel cage) from a analog Konica such as a 2223 or 1015 in replacement for the fan in a Konica 7020 p/n 26na-7390? If so, did it work?

I'll answer my own question here as I've now examined both and the result is.............. no!
Worth a shot though.
