I have a customer with a BH160 having problems with black copies. I replaced the power supply a few months ago for the same problem, it worked until now. I also replaced the exposure lamp before the power supply, it did not help.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Darren

Check and make sure the corona is not shorted some how, or even broken.

Hi Darren King, I had same problem months before. Did you change inverter board,to which exposure lamp is conected? In my case error code C14A3 appeared often.

I suggest you pull the drum unit and check that there is no paper scraps by the grid/charge area.

I had a BH160 recently, with black copies using the Document Feeder, but looked perfect on the glass. Turned out that the "scanner lock" mechanism was getting in the way of the scanner moving to the correct position to copy with the feeder. It's located on the underside of the scanner unit, on the front-left hand side. When the copier is unpacked, you turn it to unlock the scanner. I just popped it out with a small flat head screwdriver and it was right as rain.
