What finisher is installed on this machine? Is it "creasing" at the fusing unit or after the fusing unit?

Yes, finisher installed in the copier, and creasing in the fusing unit and paper jam.

there is a tech tip from sharpnet about a jam code "POD1N" it says the following:

check the following items:

1. fuser sep pawls check for damage/dirt

2. Fuser Front PG Check for contamination

3. fuser front PG for height adjustment (center line)

4. lower fuser rollers check for contamination

5. POD1 check for damage

6. delivery turnover unit check 1-way gear & fuser rear roller. Rough up shaft and clean with alcohol.

the above was dated 10/11/2002 as listed on sharpnet, don't know if that will help or not, also if you have any jam codes, please list.... that will help narrow it down. We have had some problems with the turnover units, sharp has updated some of the clutches.

Also look at inverter gate. At 350k or more the bottom concave side gets paper cuts & warps down in the center.
You didn't say what kind of finisher? If its a mailbox AR-MS1 or a AR-FN6 (on the right side) the pass through often gets paper cuts in the rearmost fin, right by the gate in the pass though.
From what you said though I would start with the delivery/turnover unit. That business about cleaning one-way bearings and roughing up shafts is technically accurate, but if your customer actually runs any number of copies its not worth the bother. That fix won't last long enough to get to your next call.
