try to calibrate with spectometer. not with kodak color patches.

After changing the consumables, did you follow the steps from service manual?

          Hi
this was my old post and after i cant get a chance to see the machine.now i got the same tone jumping in 6501 with ic408,i calibrated with spectrometer after replacing the drum, charger, developer, machine run only 1.5lac.from manual i found this can solve by gamma offset adjustment. How i can doit and whether it can solve.the problem is color from high side to low side is not smooth,it will be in steps

          thanx from levi

Check the second transfer roll or make adjustments to compensate for the second transfer. With software SW 1-0 ON, this setting appears in the paper setting on the main panel of the machine.

Then, adjust (adjust operation run) with four options. After, make calibration via Spectrofotometer I1

              Thanx Mac,
Ill try and come back, whether the gamma offset adjustment can create any other problem?
why the colorbands are appearing while printing the gray in color mode.If print from gray scale mode the colorbands are not appearing, but the gradation is not smooth. Is this the limitation of IC408 compare to Ic305.Which color set up will be better for the files with gray and color?Any problem in printing from PDF compare to coreldraw or photoshop?

Sorry lot of questions. Can help me please!!!!!
