My location has a KM 6030 wall mount copy counter that is made by Hecon and has a battery that has died on us twice in the last year. The last time it died I had my fiance look at it, and replace the battery, which required resaudering it. It turns out the numb skull that installed the counter for us had wired it incorrectly. I'm not an expert, but I'm starting to get the impression that the model that happened to work awesome with our previous Kyocera might not be so compatable with this one.

Is anyone aware of any other copy counters that can be wall mounted some distance away from the machine by wires that is either not going to constantly require a battery to be resaudered into it every few months, or even better maybe one that is mechanical wheel counter.

If I happen to be in the wrong place entirely I would appreciate any sort of guidance....
