We have a feeder issue with this machine it will pull the paper all the way to just past the scan glass, and will dog ear the rear side into the next set of rollers. We have replaced the feeder and the same thing occured, so we thought, that we brought a bad feeder. So we brought theirs back and it ran fine on our machine. So we take it back and starts jamming again. What I am wondering is will the scale plate\ ramp cause this or is it something else.

Thanks,

Scott

Its too low @ the rear side, theres an adjustment screw accessable through the top on back of df, straight down on the back of df... if it's too low it'll jam just like that... if you open the jam access cover, on the rear frame of the df you should be able to see a white plastic "arrow" pointing up and out @ around 45 deg, the screw on the back (no cover removal is necessary) moves this "arrow", there are 3 hash marks on the frame and the "arrow" should be @ or just above the middle one. Usually when your df is jamming there you'll find the arrow point @ or below the lowest hash mark.
Hope this helps!

There are a 5 or 6 guides on the adf that can become cracked or out of place. They are located on the bottom side of the ADF, after the paper hits the slit glass and comes back into the feeder they are located there, they are usually a cream or black color.
