Curls where? Is there a finisher or just a plain jane?

Likely the problem could be the paper. Some manufacturers, like Grande and Toy, sell shitty paper. In the case of G&T, the paper has talc which will eventually cause jamming issues, not to mention a ton of dust. Other companies, the paper is of low quality and will produce poor reproductions, or in your case, curling in certain situations.

Try using a different brand of paper, preferably Hammermill. Flip the stack of paper over, this will help in some situations where the paper has excessive curl because of where it was cut from the master roll during production (like a paper towel roll, near the end).

If the curl is happening in the exit section of the finisher, FS519 for example, update the firmware to the latest.

If it is a humidity issue, you can try a fresh ream of paper to eliminate that possibility.

You could also try reducing the fuser temperature.

And of course, it goes without saying, ensure the firmware is up to date.

Hi Leo
Is the paper leaving the fuser and concertinaring before the exit? as I have one doing this and giving jam code 3205 which indicates the paper didn't make it to the exit sensor. This is intermittent and paper has been changed.
Did you resolve this issue or have any temporary fix and was it KM that told you there would be a mod?

on those machines above the side door is a another cover that lifts sometimes when you open the side door, ensure this is closed

i have 2 machines with the same issues C280's. Anyone have a clue as to what causes this fault. it looks to me as if the paper is catching on the front edge of the fuser cover but not sure as yet. any help would be great.

Not sure, but looks like the concertinared paper has a slight "dog ear" to the rear leading edge, so believe it may be catching on something but unable to see what.
