I've been a laser printer engineer for over 10 years and now our company is moving into copiers. We're in talks with olivetti for a possible dealership and I知 heading to England next week to train on the mf551/651. I知 hp qualified on the printers but have never touched a copier, I guess I知 just wondering has anyone else made the transition from printers to copiers and is it difficult?
Cheers

In my experience most printer service is about swapping out cartridges/units. As the years have passed, more and more of copier service is about swapping out units. You may have to add to the depth of your print engine theory/knowledge to make the transition to copiers.
You'll have a head start on me, though, because you'll have some networking basics. I had no networking knowledge at all in the beginning.
The best thing you can do is take advantage of all the resources that you have available right here at Copytechnet. I'm sure you'll do just fine. =^..^=
