KM-3530 with a PF-75 C1110 Code

I have a PF-75 on a KM-3530 popping a C1110 code(Lift 2 Motor). I have replaced lift motor 2, checked the feed unit for broken tabs that hold metal pick-up brackets, and checked to see if the paper was installed correctly and not folded over. The code pops up every month or two or around every 1500 to 2000 copies. Any ideas?

I would check the connector into the machine and check the AC power at that location. You don't have a kitchen around the corner that's on the same circuit do you? You could be fighting a toaster and a refrigerator instead of bad motors.

Oh and I would run sim 906 and maybe flash the firmware. Never hurts.

I did Sim906 several times. The copier runs about a month and C1110 comes back. The power is good from the wall and is on a dedicated circuit. The copier has the latest firmware.

Is the tray on that side good and level? I have seen those get whopper-jawed and not want to raise right. Also there are some mylars on the guides that can get messed up and maybe give you a little resistance.

I removed the mylars on the sides and level the lift trays on both sides and I don't feel any resistance.

I don't know if this will apply to you, but on the Falcon III machines there have been a few cases of lift motors damaging the driver circuits on the engine PWB. It could be the case for you, too. The cases I am aware of were not intermittent. =^..^=

It might be worth the effort if you have a way to swap that feed section with another and run for a bit. Sometimes those things cause hinky little problems too. We had to put cork pads in the trays on the 760's to keep them from raising too high.

could this be the old ' ups, i pulled the pf out of the box by the mountingbrackets for the feed unit' during installation' ?
