KMc 2525- scanning

Tried to set one up today to scan to email. Done this loads of times. Put in all the data necessary, tested the comms when mail server IP was put in- kept getting comm error- check email address when trying to send. Eventually tried smb to a xp desktop, had all the user, password, ip and path correct - no joy. Now I went over and over the settings- all were okay. Does anybody please have any ideas???:confused:

For email: Did you set up a default sender address at location #1? Did you turn on "Selec. of sender (users)"? This is the mistake I find most often. =^..^=

Possibly the default sender, I'll check later. Thanks for the reply
