minolta di750 please insert key counter

We have two of these machines that are going back to the leasing company
and where hook to echotrac when we took them out of customer office.
I need to make sure that the machine will pass paper but it has a message on it that please insert key counter.How can i remove this because we hooked the echotrac up to their new kyocera machines
and don't have any in the shop.

Was there a wiring harness that was removed with the "echotrac" key counter device? If so, two of the connectors on the main body that went to the "echotrac" harness may need to be "jumped" or reconnected together so the machine knows there is no key counter device attached. This advice is just from past experience w/key counters. I could not find any softswitch in the service mode that indicates a key counter is attached to the machine.]

EBM is right
I just did one today... first you take a paper clip and use it as a JUMPER between number 1 and 2 on the connector (right side).
