Anyone know why Di650's break the web drive gears? I've had several lately. I think it's because the web is so hard to advance but we use webs from OEM PM kits. I put oil on the web shaft where it contacts the pressure spring, it didn't seem to make much difference. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Minolta DI551/650/5510/7210 Web Roller Gear Broken

Ok, in my experience, usually Three possible causes:

1. PM Counter Control, When the Web Roller unit comes to The end, should replace it immediately. Maybe can use Inhibition of copying when PM count is reached - (DIPSW 1-4 to 1) - set PM Cycle in 25 mode in 200k or 250k and control periodically.

*. Caution: You must reset the counter when replace these parts.

2.Cleaning web unwinding shaft clutch spring tension.

*.alleviation.

3. when the Fusing Unit starts warming up again, after the machine operate under overtoning condition , the toner deposited on the Web Roller Unit generated pressure between the Web Roller Unit and Fusing Roller. Causing breakage of the Traction Gear.

*in this case must advance the Web Roller Unit manually.
