When printing colors, most of the colors bleed badly. It almost looks as if the colors smear over the image. It happens on some black images as well but not all. I will try to scan and post print samples as well. Does anyone know if this may be tied to the fuser unit and that maybe it needs to be replaced?

Anyone have the same issues?

Need to see the scans before passing judgement.

Why are there numerous fuser jams when running 11x17, duplex and full bleed with 100% coverage?
Solution
Printing or copying originals at 100% coverage/fill is not supported and will cause fuser jams !

Remove the Imaging units and clean the LED's with the cleaning wand attached to the inside of the front door. Sometimes the pad needs alcohol to get the crap off.

A quick visual of the print engine itself will tell you plenty.

The fuser unit...is the yellow felt dark brown? If so, replace the thing. More than likely the teflon has worn or, in rare situations, peeled off. Characteristics of a failing fuser are ghosting, or trailing edge wrinkling on large format paper (11x17).

The transfer belt unit. Is the belt nice and shiny? Or does it have a few dull streaks in it? Or does it have a lot of dull streaks all across the surface? In the case of the latter, replace it with a new unit.

In some cases, belt refresh may help, but is not always reliable. Reset and stabilize can also help.

The cleaning unit on the belt may be caked...this can be removed and cleaned...use a decent hepa filter vac...any other method, you are looking at a nice mess. In some cases, erase bias may not be enough, or for that matter, enabled. Changing the settings may or may not correct the issue...

But aside from those, knowing what you are visually looking at via a scan here would really help.

I'd go with this as well.
