How do you get into an Atrix hctv canister vac?

I have one but it will not start with the on/off button, so i want to pull it apart and see why not! I see 8 caps on top that may cover screws but they sure don't want to pop off!!!! Any suggestions and do you guys like them? Thx, Kevin
