View Full Version : Connecting bizhub C280 to fiber optic network
I have customer who has fiber optic network cabling. They want to have 2 bizhub C280s connected to the network.
As Konica Minolta do not have a fiber optic NIC option whats the best way of achieving this.
Thanks for any suggestions

You'll just use the regular nic.
You'll just use the regular nic.
Regular NIC only has RJ45 and USB. Fiber optic has SC connector.
Is there some sort of standard adapter I can use or do I need some other hardware
Cheers
Pat
Google it, there are lots of adapters out there you can use.

Here is one example:
fiber to rj45, Computers items at low prices on eBay.com.au (http://shop.ebay.com.au/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=fiber+to+rj45&_sacat=See-All-Categories)
I would suggest that you go out to this clients site and look at their network though as I would be surprised if all of their computers and regular printers were running off fibre.

OK thanks for that. System support told me I would need a special router but the adapter looks a better option.
BTW the Client currently has Kyoceras with Fibre optic NICs.
