print looks ok but through solid images you had a faded line about every inch. replaced drum unit and looked good. 1 week later customer has same problem. developer was changed about a week before that. only have 2 of this model out so dont work on them very often and no formal training on this model so i dont have it down yet. thanks for any ideas

Can you post a sample image of the defect? Does the drum show any wear marks after the 1 week? When you remove the drum from the dv unit, is the dv level across the mag roller? Sometimes the collars on the ends of the dv roller wears down and causes problems.

update. the marks are from front to back and not lead to trail. starts out as a blank line but by time it gets 3/4 way down page it turns dirty. looks like somthing is dragging in image. this does not happen every copy. i ran 4 and 3 were good. you can also see some light gray lines running same way. a couple screws that hold drum to developer unit are stripped. did see a difference when took units apart and checked them. was better for 8 copies and then started again. developer is even on mag roller but not thick(just a thin layer)

Sounds like you may need a new dev tank, what is the life of the units?

You need a new dev unit. developer, and drum unit. the collars wore out. Replace all 3

Not always necessary to replace the whole unit. Often replacement of the drum and developer will do. Densigraphix has modified drum spacer collars with an integrated miniature ball bearing (#7020186) in case they are worn.

Clean the doctor blade very well to remove crud from its edge (careful, the edge is extremely sharp). Check if the end seals of the mag roller are still OK, you can get them from KonicaMinolta #4163-5237-01 rear seal and # 4163-5221-01 front seal as well as two pieces 4163-5260-01 adhesive seal cause they are often worn or cut too.

At last see if the ATDC wiper is still wide enough to scrape over the ATDC sensor and if the plastic drumshaft is OK. If not reinforce the shaft by inserting a short metal rod (2.5mm round x 10mm long, we take a M2.5 screw) into the hole of that shaft and secure it with a drop of miracle glue.

Sounds all complicated but is really easy in fact. We do this whole procedure at least once a week and are saving lots of money with it.

BTW: Developer always builds up very thin by these machines.
