I have two 7130's, one with a ip-422 the other without (currently.)

I'm trying to get them running on windows 7.

The ip is 10.0.1.13
IPP: 10.0.1.13:631/ipp
It prints fine from a mac Running SNOW Leopard, but no pc love.

how do i go about doing this? is it post script or PCL based.

second question

The other one is displaying error f-56-11, how do i go about resetting this?

Third question:

Do i need a HD in the ip422 to enable network scanning?
Thanks!

The ip 422 does req the flash/pcmcia hdd on the ip board to enable scan. Your error code is described as follows :

Main-body identification error
Detected CB (overall control board)
(ROM) for different machine.

Which to me means that the system board likely has the wrong firmware on it..

As for the ip422, it'll be pcl out of the box but if your printing ok from a mac then it likely has the ps upgrade chip as well. Thats a fairly old machine but you should be able to download an xp or vista driver and get it to work with it.. Only other possibility is that the emulation mode may be set to ps only and not auto.. (you may have to dig around for this in the printer menus) . At least thats the way it is with the newer ip boards. Also ports to try, Lpr 515, queue PORT or PORT1 (caps), raw ports 9100, 9101 or 10000 or even 10001. (depends on how it's configured) (all with standard tcp/ip printing)
