Sorry for bad english.
I need the instructions for the EFI Fiery x3e 50 c-k internal on minolta 8050 in English. On my screen the German language and I do not know how to change it to English.
So I do not know to set up the network settings and the like.

If I remember correctly, you need to reset the IP-921 (the Konica designation for the 8050 x3e) to the factory defaults in order to choose another language.

It's a little hard to do when it's in a strange language, but you can try to translate each of the messages you get on the google translator (http://translate.google.com/) in order to find out what they are for.

Reding through my documentation, I think that you need to do something like this:

- Press the PRINT button on the copier
- Press the MENU button on the touchscreen
- Enter Setup (should be the second option on the second page)
- Choose Factory Defaults (the last option, maybe)?

Again, use google translator to guide you through the menus.

Good luck!

it works great, thank you.
Do I need any special software to control the printer or is it enough that which is offered for example, print dialog box in Acrobat Reader.

Thanks again
and greetings from the Adriatic

You can use the print driver that is resident on the controller (it should be anyway).

Via your internet browser (do not use apple safari, it is incompatible), type in the IP address of the machine. You should see a "Fiery" icon there.

Clicking on that will open up a fiery interface, which should be pretty obvious what you can do from there. You may need to install an older version of Java in some situations. This will not affect current java already installed.

The downloads that should be available to you are the drivers, and user software, which includes software like Command Workstation (allows you to view the print queue and reprint documents, change print parameters to those documents, even put them in a hold queue for later use, there is also a bunch of other programs you may or may not need. Documentation should also be available to you for this as well. It is advisable that you use the drivers from the machine, as different versions of fiery will only work reliably with the same version driver.

whether it would be possible that we gathered the most important programs of course if so with you and if you have the time. can be on CD or on sendspace. I am not ashamed to say that I have no experience and I took the machine to learn and make something small. When you learn to work on this machine I bought something better. Any help is appreciated.

I thank and greet
