[CQ] C6501 color registration shift from bypass printing

    Hi all,

I have a C6501 and it has a problem when i print from the bypass tray, al other trays are always ok.

    The problem:
Whene i need 10 prints duplex from the bypass tray and i lay down less then 10 pages on the bypass drawer the machine stops printing whene the last page is fed in and at the last printed page the color yellow is shifted 1 mm (at the duplex side) to the operator side of the machine (Z direction), al other prints are ok. whene i put 10 pages and request a job of 10 pages al pages are ok. So always the color yellow of the duplex side of the last print in a run is shifted and it only happens on the bypass tray al other trays are always ok. I reinstalled the Fiery controller, reinstalled the firmware GMO60, changed the IPB, PRCB video board controller and cable without any result.

    Can someone help me?

????? IC 304 is a CREO controller. My problem is within a C6501 engine and a IC305 EFI controller.

Not likely to fix it, but you could try registration loop adjustment on that tray and see if it helps. I suspect it is timing related specific to that tray, assuming you do not have the issue on other trays. And of course, it goes without saying, ensure the transport rollers are clean.

          1. Select the Machine icon on the control panel.
          2. Select the Both Sides icon on the lower part of the control panel.
          3. Input the paper tray adjustment values.
          4. Select Chart Adjust.
          5. Select Adjustment Start.
          6. Select Close after the adjustment completes.
          7. Select the Copy icon and run test copies.
