ok.....pull out the upper pfu by removing the right side covers, detach the wiring harness, and get it out in front of you.......check and clean the vertical transport rollers and sensors and their actuators.....verify that the rollers do not have uneven wear.....on the rear of the unit in the gear train, there is a slipclutch inside the gear with a green facing....remove it, clean the inside of the gear and the shaft with alcohol and scrape the shaft across its length with a flathead screwdriver, or lightly file it...never lubricate a slipclutch or its associated shaft........make sure you replace it green side out...facing the rear geartrain, with the door to your left, remove the em transport clutches (there are two identical circular ones) on the left side of the train, closest to the door....clean the inner clutch plate (mounted on the gear portion) and the clutch face with alcohol, clean the clutch shafts with alcohol but do not file or scrape...take a lubricant, such as tri flow or machine oil and dab a tiny bit on your forefinger...rub your finger together with your thumb and wipe a very small amount on each clutch shaft....replace the clutches...

repeat this same procedure with the lower feed unit, which can be removed by taking off the lower right cover. It has the two circular clutches (they are not interchangeable with the upper unit, as the gear portions are different), and the colored slipclutch gear as well. Service these as you did the corresponding parts on the upper unit.

Also check and make sure the pinch rollers on the door of the upper paper feed unit turn freely and are being properly depressed by the vertical transport rollers to allow free movement.

Clean and inspect the ADU, including all rollers and sensors.....only remove those clutches if you have to.

If all of this doesn't help, replace the circular em transport clutches on the upper pfu.....most likely the lower one.
