We were able to scan documents to email just fine. We made a change to the email address under Network > E-mail Setting > Email TX (SMTP) and now we get an error when we try to scan a document to email. The error details that I see on the BizHub says: Deleted due to error and Server Connection error.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Check all your entries on that page. Server connection error is pretty clear, that the copier is unable to connect to the email server to forward the email. If you changed the smtp address to an email address, that is patently wrong. It is either a name to the smtp server (smtp.telus.net), or an IP address to that server, depending on whether or not you are allowing the machine DNS access or not.

On the E-mail TX (SMTP) screen we changed the Device Mail Address from one email address to another. After that change, Scan to Email did not work, so we changed the email address back to the way it was originally. After changing it back to the way it was, Scan to Email still does not work.

"Server Connect Error" is more related to the copier trying to find the email server on the network. So your fault is that the copier cannot "see" the email server. If it could see the server, but not connect, then the fault would be "Login Error" or similar.

Can you ping the email server (using the same IP/Host name) using the ping function (under "network settings>detail settings>ping confirmation")? if not, then those details are incorrect - also try this on a PC. if you can, then re-check the settings in the email settings screen.

The other issue is that the email server may need authorisation (username/password/domain details) before you can send an email.
this is hidden under the detail settings in the email settings screen. unless if your email server accepts unauthorised/anonymous logins to send emails.

The login name and password to an exchange server would generate an authentication error if the entry was not correct or missing. Alternatively, it can also cause this error if the server does not require the entry.
