Hi everyone,
I replaced the starter in a Minolta 1083 and cannot get into the tech service mode to run an F8. How do I go about getting into tech service mode?? If someone out there could help it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks to everyone.

Try meter count stop-0-stop-1 or stop-00 stop-01 can't remember which.
Then press 1 + green button (will show F--)
Then press 8 followed by green button to start the cycle.
Wait 5 minutes and the machine will go quiet.
Job done

Good luck

Hi. Thank you for your response. I was not able to get the copier to work. I tried mtr cnt, stop00, stop01 & stop 0, sop1 and holding down stop, start buttons. I'm wondering if it is because the copier is an AGFA x120. The inside of the machine is Minolta, it cross references a 1083 copier, but maybe they changed the tech rep codes. Anyway, thanks again for your help, maybe i can be of help for you in the future.

Nothing wrong with a 1083 - a good little analogue box.

This stuff is great for me to hear, Minoltas are delicate and cool. I use an EP 2000 an EP 4000. These machines are great in that you can make Over 1000,000 copies from one developer / starter. Great stuff

Not even new one like 162/3 and 210/211 are not bad. I had few costumers when they reach above 100k(not all but 70% of them do! )! whit factory drum and developer! witch isn't bad...but it isn't good too :D thx good we have maintenance cont

Considering the 162 etc. drums are only intended to do 60k or so (they are, after all, based on the old di152/183!) 100k is pretty good! So, they are a pretty good box!

Jeah, pretty god boxes but wouldn't mind if they stop on 50k .... :)
