View Full Version : C351 prints everything fine except barcodes

Customer printing shipping labels but barcode cannot be scanned. All other printing is fine. If they print the same barcode on any other printer in the office it looks fine & can be scanned. On the C351 , however the barcode lines print much thicker and the line resolution is much coarser on the barcode(image density too dense?) which makes it difficult for UPS to scan. Any ideas?

Which driver are they using? PCL or PS? Have they tried the other one? Have you tried changing settings within the driver? Density, quality, ICC Profiles, etc?

Try using an HP4 or 5 driver just for printing this job only, had a 601 that was doing the same thing and this resolved it, customer must be aware that they can't use this driver for anything else though. Emujo

+1 For me HP driver worked well on a 420.

You can also fiddle with the driver properties where it talks about fonts, true type and/or vector graphics.
