I just changed out my drums on my Konica C5501. How do I reset my %'s that are displayed under the Utility menu back to 0%?

Thanks

In service mode, Counter Data -> Parts Counter -> Count of special parts.

But you also need to run the drum peculiarity adjustments - check the manual for the propper maintenance procedure.

Forgive me for asking but, how do I get in Service mode?

You don't know? Well, this is going to be fun. Just remember that, without a service manual and proper training, there's a chance of causing serious harm to the machine.

With that disclaimer, to enter tech rep mode you must press Utility, and then press the keys STOP-0-0-STOP-0-1 in sequence.

Good luck!

Perfect! That worked. My boss decided to cancel our Service contract and leave everything up to me! Cheap! The only thing I couldn't figure out was how to reset the %'s after installing new parts. Thank you again "mrwho". I greatly appreciated the help

Okay. But tell your boss that I believe it should be a crime to run such a machine without a service contract - it will probably cost him in the long run.

Cheers!

My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, I'm the one who has to worry about it! Thanks again. I'm sure you'll here from me again :p

I'm just curious... Did you removed the locking screws on the new drums before installing?

Yes, everything went well installing the new drums. I'm back up and running... till the next repair :)
