Anyone ever managed to use an optics dehumidifying fan (26NA-739) on a 7035?

Could it ever be possible? We're stuck with one of these machine popping an F52-01 and we don't have a proper fan available...

Never tried it, but the machines are almost totally interchangeable, you may need to be creative with wiring, and with swapping of power supply, but i think that it would retrofit- the big question would be -'is that the problem?'-

The 'Old School' fix for humidity (and I am talking all the way back to 1970s) was to shove a gun closet heater rod between the cabinet and the machine; the slow, steady heat from the closet rod kept condensation away, and was very cheap to boot-

The 7035/7135 fan is different from the remaining models as it sports an extra wire (which I'm assuming is because the fan is able to do two different speeds, as seen on 47 mode).

As for the humidity, I don't believe that is the current problem since the machine does it in our shop and said fan starts rotating everytime we take a copy (it's the "hamster cage" fan under the scanner assy).

Used to get problems with the fan filters blocking up and causing grief, possibly clean/replace or remove it?
Also just had a quick look at some old info and thats saying the DCPS could be faulty causing intermittant 5201 codes...

Thanks for the tip. Already exchanged both the PRDB and the DCPS with another machine, without luck. Everything's pointing to the fan now.
