Can't seem to get the right tool for address book sync on a c5501 with ic-408 fiery. Used the address book utility (31mb file) listed under the "other" section of the IC-408, and used the Page Scope Data Admin v.4 (which works fine with c552 w/o fiery) I can get as far with the address book utility of having it scan the network and the password fails
admin / Fiery.1 (which works for login direct to fiery etc..)

Is the time right on the copier and the computer you are trying to sync with?

I was not set for right time zone, but otherwise yes. I have tried as user: Admin admin Administrator administrator and for password I have tried Firey.1 and 12345678
I kills me that its this "login" that separates me from being able to edit address book, anyone else successfully using this utility to get into their address book on their Fiery?

Try the copier admin and password. I don't believe the Fiery is holding the address info, I believe the copier is. Also, if you are connecting to it via the Fiery IP try the next digit up as the fiery will take that IP then assign the next IP up to the copier.

Just a thought,
Let us know how it works.

The Address Book Utility is what does the looking, so no IP is actually ever key. Also it scans the network and finds any IP it "likes", based on the engine you select. (it won't find the printer if I choose any other engine besides the c500)
I have tried every password (its brand new machine, no passwords have been changed)and no luck. I'm not sure at this point if I even have the right tool to get access.

Anything else to try, I'll all ears:D

Check that DATA ADMINISTRATOR is as up-to-date as possible, there may be a patch to add the 5501/6501 IC-408.

I have just had to patch DA V4 to be able to talk to a 283. Data Admin could see it in the add device screen but couldn't actually talk to it.
Downloaded and added the patch from CSES and it works a treat.

Sounds like a great idea, I know I can add in manually the printer to Data Admin and it reads it features, but I cant register it. I am afraid I don't know what CSES is thought...

CSES is the technical support area of Konica Minolta, it is available only to dealers. If you are an end user, contact your service provider to help you.

New to copier lingo, I'm a network guy, and as the printers I setup typically have a "computer" inside them, its not a stretch to get them up and going. Our copier "only" techs typically don't do the networking/LDAP/DNS related stuff. I have access to mykonikaminolta.com, but not sure is CSES is same thing? or where to look.
