I have a konica minolta C450 in our office (new SH machine, just came in).
Any one could advise me to what is the grey cable ? what kind of interface does it connect, or what does it do... (sorry for the n00b question but did not find any markings on it)

If you're talking about the cable that comes from inside the machine with the large metal connector, that's the scanner cable - it connects to the optics and control panel.

It connects the scanner and the display to the printer...

Time ago a customer whit a C450adv (Fiery equipped) called me because he had a problem like if he asked for 2 printed pages the output was 4, 3 was 9 and so on.. Turned out that he was using the driver fo C450 instead that IC 402(?).
