http://dnet-km.com/groupee_common/ver1.3.7.9830/platform_images/blank.gif (http://dnet-km.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9126013712/m/8953981067?r=8953981067#8953981067) We have a Cs-4050 in the office of a customer who scans a lot of big files (60-100 pages). They use a third-party blank page removal tool for scans. When they scan these large files, sometimes the machine only seems to send, for example, 60 of 80 pages and the rest disappears. The pages scan, but they aren't sent. I have replaced the hard drive, the memory DIMM, even the Document Feeder for the possibility of multi-scanning due to lack of separation. No luck. I am not sure if it has anything to do with the blank page software. Anyone have any ideas? I can find no reference in the manual to explain what happens when I scan. At the risk of sounding dumb, can anyone tell me when you scan, does the Data go to the hard drive or to the memory DIMM before being sent to the network?

I think I'd start by shutting down the blank page software as a test.

I have never experienced missed pages unless the originals have double-fed. I think it's the software that's tripping you up. =^..^=

Which file format is it in?

SMB, email?

Scanning to SMB as a TIFF.

Also, unless there is a need, default the scan option to black and white only. You may be choking up the memory. We set all ours on B/W/ out the door.
