That's an easy one. The C220 is only rated upto 271gsm. 300 gsm is beyond the machines abilities.

But it can print on 300gsm and it has fine copy. U need to abrade the sheet metal where the contact on door of second transfer roller touching the machine. (I hope u understand my bad english)
That is official factory problem!

print within specs
or it prints what it prints
tell the customer and show them the documentation
or if a salesguy told them it would get his worthless ass in to explain that he lied to the customer

grocey paper......my costumers push poor c220 to the limit but not whit as lucky 13 stated "brown paper bag /construction paper". LOL... Its fine to print on offset 300 glosy and 250 matt but that "cardbox" of paper is way beyond c220 capabilities .

White spots appear mainly when fuser speed is not adequate to the temperature. I had this when client was printing on 120gsm and settings were Thick 2,3,4 and should be Thick 1. It was on the edge but still the correct settings were necessarily.
With 300 gsm it would fairly difficult to judge the correct speed/temperature I think.

My personal opinion on this is: Get a better machine or lighter paper.

Damage to transfer belt ..? should not occur as there is a room for 300gsm thickness. but bear in mind that 2nd transfer voltage might need to be adjusted too.

good luck

ineo+6501 (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/members/ineo-6501.html) is correct Sir

That's an easy one. The C220 is only rated upto 271gsm. 300 gsm is beyond the machines abilities.

Any adjustments or mods you make to accommodate out of spec paper will just mess up everything else.
You are going to bring a whole lot of pain down on yourself, you have been warned!

try setting the Transfer Output Fine Adjustment from Service Mode-Imaging Process Adjustment-Transfer Output Fine
Adjustment-Primary transfer adjusment. Change the setting value using the [+] / [-] keys. Increase the setting value white spots will decrease.
