Anyone ever seen the auto gradation not output a test page for scanning on the C351? It seems to go through the process, but nothing prints out. All supplies are fine, the machine works fine other than that.

Thanks

It seems to me that originally it would only output on 11 X 17 from either tray 1 or the bypass I can't remember which. Then firmware changed and it would output on 81/2 X 11 if Leger wasn't available.

Yeah, try that.

Doesn't matter what is loaded, it won't output a chart.

Strange things these copiers!

Make sure that : Imaging process Adjustmennt / Dev. Bias Choice is in "OFF" position.
If not, you are not able to run calibrations. I've seen this on a C 300, but the menu is the same.
Hope this is your case.

Yes it is off. if it is ON, you won't even see the option to AUTO GRADATION on the screen.

Maybe a reset and a reinstallation...I hate this, but sometimes it helps..

Okay, get a failure in Grad Adjust in service mode. Looks like both front and rear IDC sensors are failing. Anyone know where they are located?

thanks

1)Take out tansfer belt unit.
2)Idc sensor (front and rear)are located at the right of Black iu.
3)Open the steel mask and clean them whith air.
4)Power on and if P5 or P21 is not displayed try the calibration.

It was the IDC Sensors. Both VERY dirty. I saw the errors under WARNING in service mode. Good catch ACUSSO1234!
