mykonicaminolta.com states that these are not compatible. but if you go to kmbs.konicaminolta support windows 7 compatability states that the di 550 is compatible with the (in box) drivers listed on the windows 7 chart. is this so? I can not find it in mykonicaminolta.com under the drivers section you can not get a driver for this os and this particular machine. help?

thanks guys

"In-box" means the driver is pre-loaded with Windows 7, but it's probably listed under the print controller model rather than the copier model.

I had a rep tell me that windows 7 would not work on this model.
I guess we will find out

Hello,

The driver is built-in to Windows 7, that's what 'in-box' means.

Screenshot attached for reference.

When you are installing the printer, and you get to the manufacturer's list, you have a Windows Update button. Chances are you haven't updated your driver list there yet. Once you've done the update you should see it listed.

If you are under a 32-bit install of Windows 7, you can simply use the XP driver. You will get the message that the driver is not digitally signed, but you can continue anyway, and the driver will work just fine.

Agree with RRogers. Try and use generic HP driver - as long as its PCL 5/6 should work.
