The codes defines as "elevator drive malfunction".
The tray travels to the top and stops. A minute later it errors out.
If I back the bins down and off the upper limit switch and open and
close the front door, the bin assembly travels down & up, then stops at the
top. I have been able to verify some of the sensors.
PS 12 the top surface detection sensor, is that actuated by that
series of fingers the tray bumps into?
I am not real familar with this model of finisher. It came in with only one
tray. I am not sure if that matters, but I thought it should be mentioned.
Funny thing, I was running it just fine two minutes before this started.
I had the tray off for repair and made a copy the assembly went up and
errored out. I put the tray back on and it has been persnickery since.
It gave me a C-11A3 shutter drive failure. I could clear that but then it
gave a phantom jam indication. I verified PS1 & 2 and manually fed paper
through that transport section. I adjusted the sensor for that guide at the
entrance that seemed to take care of it. Then it went back to the C-1183
trick. I did find that PS 13 ,the lower limit sensor, was out of place and
when I re-installed it the flag on the belt would knock it off again. Bent it
back, but it still errors out C1183.
And I need to deliver this unit asap.
Mandatory fun, right?
Thanks for any suggestions
