That code is caused by the EDH Takeup tray operations!! Maybe user has bounced the unit back when they opened it, or dumped a stack of paper onto it. Sometimes you can reset it by cycling the front door! If not check the area of the tray lift motor (at rear of unit) and make sure that the silver metal actuator is not bent. It is a long time since I worked on these units but used to get the code a lot. I think there was an update from KM on this problem I will look to see if I can find it.Last edited by minimerlin; 05-10-2011, 10:54 PM.Please do not PM me without asking first.Comment

Re: Di470 is displaying error code C-143E
This code happens pretty regularly on my 450's and 470's. As others have said, cycling the front door usually clears it. Every once in a while I will get an especially persistent code, requiring me to turn off the machine and restart it with the EDH unplugged. After it boots up, turn it off and restart it again with the EDH plugged in. Can't say why it works, but it does.Comment
