PageScope is a whole suite of programs. Do you mean PageScope Pro? Pagecope Pro is like a desktop verion of an FTP server for scanning. Is this what you mean?

Therefore I was glad when the new series of bizhub (including the Bizhub 250) came out offering SMB scanning directly to any network folder. There is no license restraint with SMB scanning. You set it up to scan to as many one touch locations you have (I believe its 540 locations on the Bizhub 250). No software to install and it uses no PC resources. It also works with Active Directory.
It is my recommendation to just set up SMB scanning. It would make no difference if you are running terminal services.Comment

Hi,
you dont use pagescope to set up smb. All you need to do it create a shared folder on the pc to scan to. Browse to the copier and set up a new smb scan button. This will then ask you for the host address or ip to scan to then the directory (what ever you called your shared folder) and username and password that is able to long onto that pc.
Hope this helpsComment

panalkar,
joneze is right. But remember, the copier you want to set up SMB scanning must support SMB. I emailed you some step-by-step instuctions with computer screen shots of how to set up a user on the PC, creating and sharing out the folder, and settings on copier (the copier in the example is a bizhub 350 but it would really apply to any machine that does SMB scanning).
Hope it helps!Comment

Do you know if the Konica/Minolta 3510 supports smb scan? It would be nice
to have a set of those screen shots on the 350. Safe to assume they are
real similar machines? We don't see many of these setups, and when we do
we always have problems with the pagescope software. Much rather use ftp smb scan. Thanks in advance.

Since the original question was cocerning terminal services, I will assume it is a Windows 2003 Server running Terminal Services, there are no PC work stations just dumb terminals, all actual computing and storage is on the server.
So you must get the copier to scan SMB directly to the server. Set up scan the way you normaly would, creating a shared file ( for testing purposes make the file in the root directory you can bury it in another directory once you get it working ) on the server and use the user name and password Administrator, and the Password. If scan will not go thru, set the WINS at the copier to the ip address of the 2003 server. This usualy works. You will set up an individual file for each user.
IF this fails you will have to have the system administrator, add the copier to the active directory and assign it administrator rights.Online Store is closed. Chip resetting is a thing of the past! Thank you to all my past customers.
