Toner Filter needs to be replaced

Hi,
i've got a message on my Konica C452 saying the toner filter needs to be replaced, but the printer is still printing.

i've never seen this before and not sure what i need to do?

The machine should keep running. I have a C5501 and have gotten that message a few times. There are filters (like on your car) that need replaced. Not sure where they are on your machine but the are very easy to replace. Mine is a box on the side of the machine that contains maybe 5 or 6 slim filters that collect toner over time. Hope this helps

i've changed the toner filter, but on the web connection page it says "life limit", i'm guessing this is still against the toner filter, as it still has a end of life date of 16/05/2011.

how can i reset this?

In service mode there is a "LIFE" section in the counter screen. You need to clear the filter count in there.

Someone at our shop reset filter messages on a 6500 and the shit backed up and cost us about $1500 in parts we had to replace, like the transfer belt.
