konica c220

tray 3 will occassionally say reset tray 3 you open and close the drawer and off it goes
now cant print from tray 3 at all.unit is just over 3 months old has under 4k.
konica says its out of warranty.
anyone come across this problem if so how did you solve it

Did you find out what is was? I have just received a call like that, J9901. Mine is from the 1st tray. I'm guessing the paper is dropping while printing. Im going to check that black lever. Any help will be appreciated.

If the user is using too much force when closing the trays, the back of the tray and the claw on the machine might get broken. From what I know, there is a kit that you can use to fix this problem and the claw has been redesign and has a new code. The same tray issues you will find on medium b/w machine, like Bizhub 282. If anyone is interested, I can search deeper in it.
