Great post... I if may suggest maybe just a little bit more info could lead to a solution. The techs on here are really good but ___ doesn't give them much to go on.

I know this comes late, but if your problem is still not solved, try to clean the laser slits and coronas. That usually takes care of ___ in your prints.

I always find the best solution to those problems are to fix the loose nut behind the start key. :)

lol, good one, yeah those things kinda stink, i heard konica minolta still has a warehouse full of these ready to sell for cheap* but they r not being manufactured any more and replaced by the 6501

I disagree, the C6500 is still an awesome machine. Maybe you're thinking of the 8050/C500.
