Help! Can anyone tell me how to get glossy prints on card stock on my c500. The prints come out so dry it looks bad and I cant find any settings for paper on the machine. Turning the Gloss on does not help.

Please help.

Did you expect them to be wet? =^..^=

Use a Glossy card stock and feed it through the bypass tray.

RTFM stands for Read The Fine Manual (most technical types use a different F word)

What type of paper are you trying to copy onto? Are you using a glossy stock?

100lb and 80lb gloss cover but I get the same results and the bypass tray makes absolutely no difference.

I doubt that the 100# cover is within machine specs (270 gsm). The 80# cover should be close to the maximum (218 gsm). What other media type choices do you have? Try the heaviest/thickest.
According to the documentation 140# index (252gsm) is the heaviest Bypass tray media, and there is no mention of glossy stock. See: http://kmbs.konicaminolta.us/main/content/products/attachments/productdocs/bizhubproc500.pdf

Glossy stock is always the most difficult to fuse properly, and you've got really heavy stock. Is this laser paper or inkjet paper? 9 times out of 10, when someone hands me glossy stock it's inkjet paper. The heaviest laser gloss I've used successfully is 32lb bond (116gsm) on other machines.

And no, it's NOT OK to use inkjet paper. =^..^=

Thanks Black Cat,

That helps, it seems I am working with sheets above the specs of the device.
Thanks again.
