Bizhub 250 w/ DF605 Jams ADF or remove original from glass message

Pickup roller assy does not completely lift back causing jams and false remove original message when attempting to scan from glass. Removed cleaned lubed pickup roller shafts and bushings. No Help! What parts failures cause this symptom? Is it the wrap spring on the drive gear in the rear?

Adjust position of doc feeder to make sure read switch can detect when the feeder is closed down. Just loosen mounting screws of feeder and make adjustment

Replace the wrap spring. This is 98% of the cause. Also make sure the original set lever is not bent or out of place and clean the sensor. If the spring is bad the rollers will not come up all the way and allow the lever to keep the sw activated

Thanks for sharing your experience. I felt like it was the spring but I have little to no experience on this model and a T&M customer bearing down on me about being certain. Do you know the part number for that spring? PR doesn't list it.

Are you sure that the 30-degree switch is opening. (the black plastic actuator near the top rear center).

I wish I ncould remember what it was, but I had a problem with the "remove original from glass message", and with the help of tech support we found an electric adjustment that fixed it in the control panel.
