Hi,

We have a Bizhub C220 which only allows small documents (around 7 pages or so) to be scanned. It has 2GB memory installed and the hard disk installed according to the configuration page.

What can I check to see why its not able to scan larger documents? I've had a search around the forum and most seem to point at the hard disk not being installed but our c220 has one installed.

Hi,
Check the scan settings regarding scan resolution.If on high resolution you will get this problem.And what are you scanning?Text are photo?

Hi,

It tends to be text (with written annotations) that is scanned in.

How do I check the settings and can this set globally rather than per job?

Hi,
touch Send/Fax then you will see scan settings, you can set scan in colour/black /white.set pdf .
Set the settings you want.Then go to utilities - user settings-and select current settings.

Hi,

The resolution is set to 200x200dPi (Fine), type is Text/Photo, and its scanning to PDF.

Just tried a 10 page scan with those settings and no email comes through and there's no error on the scanner. A single page scan came through all ok.

The Job result on the 10 pages scan says "Deleted Due To Error"
Under Communcation List, the detail for the job says result: "NG"

More than likely there is a file size cap on your email server. Have your administrator lift or change this!!

details....when you look at the job history and see deleted due to error, you should see a "details" icon. select it and you will get a error code or message. Post what you see and maybe we can help. Emujo

Get this a lot with scan to email. Set your your file type (in scan settings) to compact pdf multipage. Should be ok afterwards.

When I got to Job History and select the job and press the Details button this is what I get:

I can't see anything to click on next to the results field?

Using your web browser log into the copier as administrator, go to the email settings and change the maximum file size to "0" Unlimited.
