Working on the beast again! I relaced all the dv's and drums on this unit and i still have some very defined thin white lines running through the copies. They show up full color or single color, all of them.
Tryed exchanging the transfer belt no luck. Fuser looks good. Any thoughts on this? I am really over this machine.
"when she's good she's good but when she's bad she's oh so bad!" thanks.

Clean all of the slit glasses on the write units.

Reseat connectors on the image process board.

Provide pictures of defect if possible.

Try cleaning under the dev units and the potential sensors. Small (and I mean tiny) pieces of lint from cleaning cloths can lodge there and cause fine white lines because they block the laser path. I've stopped using cleaning cloths on these, I just use a brush and my vac. Hope this helps...

Sometimes you get clumps of toner in the dr blade, just clean them with a business card. Also, as suggested above you'll get junk under the dev unit (usually dev hanging down) be sure to clean those off as well. Hth Gl

Doh! Forgot to mention, dr blades on these are on the BOTTOM of the dev unit. Take the cover off first.

Run a skyshot of each color individually; are the lines in the same place on each or do they move?
