Panasonic DP-3510 Finisher

We have the DA-FS330 Finisher. The problem is that it is connected but the copier is not recognizing that its connected. Is there a way to fix this?

first (and i'm sure ya already know this), but there are 2 power switches on that model..1 on left side of copier and 1 on rear at the plug location..if both switches are not turned off (especially the one on rear ),the copier will not recognize the finisher as being plugged in..and if you have already done this ,then ya might try checking to see if copier is set for auto detecting a finisher.. to do this you will have to go into service modes...check to make sure that f-5 #21 is set for 1 and not 0..0= no finisher..1= auto detect.. P.S.- i know that with all the other optional finisher models, ya have to install a "finisher IPC board" onto the SPC board @ connector #727... but i don't believe ya have to have one for the FS-330.. hope this helps..if not, let me know and i'll help as much as possible..
