Printer not printing over network

Hi everyone, we have a printer that won't print over a network it starts to recive the data then just doesnt print its like it times out, when we conect a laptop to the machine it prints straight away, is there a problem with the network or could it still be the machine at fault ? any ideas would be helpful

Check to be sure the emulation settings match on the printer and in the driver.
This may be the problem since you can print directly from the laptop.

If the machine is networked through a server, you may have to reboot the server then power the machine off and on. Allow time for the server to communicate with the machine (usually 5-15min.) this corrects most scanning/printing issues if all other settings are correct
