[Error Code] FK-502 Bizhub 421 error code c-2801

Hello All:

We are having issues with our Konica Minolta FK-502 Bizhub 421. It was making some horrendous noises while making copies or printing, then would stop for a little bit until used again. Then the toner needed to be replaced, so we put a new cartridge in. We were getting a few copies or prints out of it and then it would just stop and say it was trying to go through the process it does with a new toner cartridge. Now it has a C-2801 error and will not do anything. You can't get it out of the error code screen. Is there a way to do a hard reset on these things? Or is there an issue with one of the sensors? I'd at lease like to get this thing useable for scanning until a repair man can get out here.

Not something you'll be able to fix on your own...the sensor that measures the amount of toner in the developer has gone insane...either the sensor is bad or the board that controls it has gone bad. The MFP will try to run its internal tests before coming to ready. Until it gets past these test you will not be able to utilize the MFP. Make sure your tech knows the code you're getting so he/SHE can come prepared with at least developer and a new TCR sensor. Emujo
