Paper jam 1503, paper does'nt reach paper conveying sensor (PCS), firmware is done as well (3.01), tried new PF-740, changed paper feed section 1 and parts middle roller unit SP. Also changed paper conveying door. Switched primary feed unit 1 and 2.

If i'm making my copies from cassette 2, no problem occur, only with PF-740.

When you install the PF-740, you have to install the "intermediate paper conveying unit". Check to see that this is installed correctly, and that the connector on it is fully seated. Also, ensure that none of the screws are missing from the covers in that lower conveying section. I guess it has been a pretty common problem that techs have been neglecting to re-install two particular screws in those covers, causing jams in that area.

Thank's, i'm a junior member, but a senior tech in mita machine since 1987. In dose case, mickey mouse problems like screws or miss aligment are double check before going higher in solving problems.

Thank's

understood. Most techs with any amount of reasonable experience know to look for simple stuff like that, but from what I understand there have been a significant number of cases where this has happened, or I might not have mentioned it.

Where exactly does the paper stop? Since you replaced the conveying door, I am guessing it stops in that conveying section, but does it stop just before the PCS, or is it down farther? Does the paper always stop in exactly the same position, or does it appear to be more inconsistent?

The paper always stop at the same place, half inches before PCS. There's a black guide, has being replaced also.
On 20 copies, it jamed 3 to 4 time to make them.

Problem fixed,

The PCS is not one peace sensor, an actuator and the sensor is away. I just bind the frame where the sensor sit, to give more chance of the actuator to come back at the home position quicker.

All my jams was after 2 or 3 sheets after the process start of my sets.

It was a brand new machine that give me that problems.

Thanks

Just to clarify: did you add a wrap to the return spring to make the actuator return more quickly? =^..^=

No, just bind the frame who sit the sensor, the actuator will have more distance to come back and where the paper touch the actuator will be more longer outside the hole.

It was too fast response before, the paper doesn't have time to go up after the next sheet.
