Hi, I have a bizhub 350c.

It photocopies beautifully, no problems. However i need it to print A3 from win xp PC, I've set it up on a PCL5e driver, LPR, queue name Print, count ticked, etc and the PC sends jobs satisfactorily to the printer.

You can see them coming through, the 'document failed to print' warning keeps coming up, and a simple pdf file, or word file, for instance, will just get printed in bits.

I have tried to look at the firmware version but not quite clear what the various lines are telling me, eg the first line on the 'firmware version' dialogue box is 4036-1060-22-00 D854

help via this forum much appreciated, or indeed if there was anyone Reigate area of Surrey I could pay to help, that's great too, although my business is very marginal so i am on a budget so hopefully the answer will not be 'go and get a £400 control box' or similar!

Jack

Hi, It sounds like you have the wrong print driver to me, check that first.
If you havent go to the konicaminolta website where you should be able to download the right one.

Thanks - i've tried pretty well every driver i can find from US and UK, the one i've spent most time on is the C350PCL5cWin2000WinXP_110gb.exe (316 Kbytes) one which at least means i get paper out of the machine, albeit with a few letters dotted here and there

There's a 'universal' driver on the UK KM website but that doesn't work, the read me says it deals with 'all' bizhubs and then lists them (clipped below) but not the c350, only the 350 which is black and white. Aaaaaaghhhhh. I ONLY want to print A3, if that means i can use a workaround?

thx

J

Hi again,

I have attached a link to where I know the printer driver works as I used it at a customers at the beginning of last week.

Download Center - Support | KONICA MINOLTA (http://www.konicaminolta.co.uk/business-solutions/support/download-center.html)

Choose multifunction colour, then choose the C350 it should then come up with the XP driver and try that.

If this is a biz C350 do you have the Fiery connected to it? if you do you need to use the fiery driver which is the IC401 (I think)

No fiery, I thought i could get away with PC direct to bizhub using PCL5e driver - what you lose is the ability to send it postscript? Sure, fiery makes it more flexible, but if on a budget and working just me in my shed, no fiery is fine isn't it?
