Bizhub C451 Fiery IC409 menu on copier control panel barley responds. Rebooted both Fiery and the machine, still the same.
Any suggestions, please?

I'd consider that a good excuse to do a clean reload of the fiery.

sounds right to me too, if the copier is functioning fine then you need to look at the Fiery, memory good and hard drive ok? Then reload system software.

Thanks for your replies.
I have reloaded system software years ago on old controllers and I remember it used to take about 40 minutes ...
Any instructions on how to reload the system software on IC409 please?
I no longer have access to KM tech support site, so is there any other source where I can get the system software please

I appreciate your help!

The software ships with the unit so you should have some cds somewhere.

one thing to bear in mind with Fiery's (or how ever the hell you pluralise Fiery)

at the time of doing a reload i open them up and clean them out, the cpu heat sink is almost always caked solid with dust along with the insides of the power supply. An over heating CPU will certainly not help the situation.

When i clean these things out (with compressed air) i have to take them out doors as the cloud of dust is unbelievable and will stop traffic...
